ECHUCA EAST PLAYGROUND AND DOG PARK

Public BBQ

Echuca East Playground and Dog Park delivers a sprawling recreational hub where barbecue enthusiasts can settle into well-positioned picnic areas while keeping an eye on the day's entertainment. The reserve's generous open spaces accommodate everything from family gatherings around the BBQ facilities to impromptu basketball matches on the half court, though someone really ought to replace that missing net. The playground caters to various age groups, though visitors quickly discover the lack of shade becomes rather punishing on scorching Australian days. Dog owners particularly appreciate the thoughtful design of three separate enclosures plus the open oval, allowing pets to socialise whilst families fire up the barbecue nearby. The walking track provides a pleasant circuit, assuming one avoids the morning sprinkler ambush that seems to catch unsuspecting early risers. Parents of small children note the busy road proximity with some concern, given the absence of perimeter fencing.
